Golf Superintendent, UTC Athletics

The Golf Superintendent provides care and maintenance of the Player Development Complex for the men's and women's golf teams. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supervises and participates in the application and recording of chemical applications (fertilizers and pesticides)
• Provides care and maintenance of the Men's and Women's Golf Player Development Complex including the facility, hitting bay, driving range, putting/chipping greens, pitching and chipping areas, practice holes, and equipment
• Manages water usage through irrigation systems
• Anticipates personnel, equipment, and material requirements related to golf course maintenance and repair assignments
• Develops annual operating budget and plans for maintenance and capital improvement projects
• Orders parts, supplies, and equipment as needed
• Maintains records and completes required reporting

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

• Knowledge of golf 
• Extensive knowledge of golf course management
• Knowledge of safe use, mixing, and application of chemicals and commercial products
• Knowledge of management and maintenance of greens, fairways, and roughs
• Knowledge of use and operating standards of equipment and tools used in golf course construction and maintenance work

Minimum: Requires a high school diploma and six years of relevant golf course management experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. 

Preferred: A BS/BA degree in turf management or related field are preferred.
