Humboldt Golf & Country Club is seeking a motivated, experienced Golf Course Superintendent to oversee all aspects of golf course maintenance and agronomy operations.

Our club will be regrassing all greens with TifEagle Bermuda in Spring 2026, and we are looking for a candidate with hands-on experience managing greens renovation projects and grow-ins of hybrid Bermuda putting surfaces.

Humboldt Golf & Country Club, located in Humboldt, TN. is an 18-hole private member-owned facility established in 1926 that has approximately 400 members. Humboldt is located approximately 10 miles north of Jackson and Interstate 40. The 6730 yard championship course winds through beautiful trees and creeks and has several elevation changes to capture the true beauty of Western Tennessee farmland. The clubhouse is warm and inviting and is a great place to gather after a round of golf or to relax among friends. It features a banquet room for receptions and meetings, a bar & grill, a patio and fire pit and, men’s and women’s locker rooms, and a swimming pool.

Humboldt Golf and Country Club is home to the Union University Men's and Women's Golf Teams, and is also the founding home of the West Tennessee Junior Golf Association.

Humboldt Golf & Country Club is seeking a motivated, experienced Golf Course Superintendent to oversee all aspects of golf course maintenance and agronomy operations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Planning and executing the upcoming greens regrassing and grow-in project
  • Overseeing daily maintenance of greens, tees, fairways, and irrigation systems
  • Managing agronomic programs, budgeting, and staff scheduling
  • Ensuring top playing conditions and course presentation year-round
  • Oversee the management, development, and performance of the golf course maintenance operations
  • Coordinate the development of operating and capital budgets; monitor and implement corrective measures as needed, and report status on a monthly basis.
  • Providing the highest level of service and interaction with guests to ensure an “overall pleasant experience.”
  • Coordinate with the General Manager and other department heads to ensure that communication of golf course operations are in line with the vision of the Board of Directors.
  • Enforce all rules and regulations governing golf course usage.
  • Maintain and promote a positive professional image within the community.

  • Prior experience as a Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent
  • An Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy or Sports Turf.
  • Proven success with hybrid Bermuda greens renovation or grow-in
  • Strong agronomic knowledge and leadership skills
  • Tennessee pesticide license (or ability to obtain)
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills will be required to interact with members on a regular basis.
  • Excellent business management, accounting, and computer skills
  • Minimum of 3+ years of golf management experience
  • Proven record of developing, promoting, and expanding all golf activities
  • Proven record of providing superior member service and staff training and development
  • Strong work ethic
  • This is a year-round position and will begin as soon as possible after the hiring process is complete
